Caveats

  • Borough figures aggregate every loaded record in the borough. Rates per 1,000 residents divide by the sum of Census 2021 LSOA usual-resident populations, which can differ slightly from ONS published borough totals because of statistical disclosure control.
  • Rates use resident population only. Boroughs with large daytime, visitor or commuter populations (for example Westminster, Camden and the City of London) record events involving many people who do not live there.
  • Fire and road-collision periods are the five years ending at the latest loaded data; crime compares the latest 12 source months with the preceding 12. Road collisions are STATS19 personal-injury collisions assigned through the collision LSOA, with a nearest-postcode fallback within 250 metres.
  • Civic Data lists boroughs alphabetically. It does not rank, score or recommend areas.
