For property and proptech teams
Official location context, without pretending it is a valuation.
Query completed registered sales, published borough rent statistics and modelled environmental context through stable, cited schemas. Civic does the postcode resolution and spatial joins while keeping every basis explicit.
Four useful tool groups
/v1/property-salesand/v1/rentsreturn publisher facts at their real postcode/radius and borough geographies.get_epc_dataandget_property_price_per_areaexpose assessor-reported floor area and exact observed sale ratios without producing a valuation./v1/districtsprovides comparable London-clipped district facts and flags boundary-straddling coverage.get_flood_data,get_ptal,get_noise_dataandget_air_quality_data, plusget_radon_data, return official environmental and transport context at the postcode centroid.
Worked example: everything factual and free for E15 2NE

Resolve the postcode first if you also need its borough code, then call GET /v1/rents/newham for the published ONS local-authority series. Do not relabel that borough figure as a postcode rent.
The property-context release also adds published IMD ranks, council-tax band-charge tables, ONS MSOA income, Ofcom postcode fixed broadband with local-authority mobile context, OS Open UPRN coordinates and Residential Property Tribunal index links. See the property-context guide for the matching and coverage limits.
No valuations, yields or rankings
Price Paid transactions are historic registrations, not comparables selected for a valuation. PIPR measures achieved rents across the whole private rental stock at borough level. Noise and air outputs are model cells at a postcode centroid, not measurements at a building. Civic Data calculates no value estimate, rental yield, investment signal, risk score or “best area” result.
